Knowing your dream…

Some time ago (at the end of May this year) on our Facebook page Wind Travelers I have decided to create a poll and ask people what we should do. There was only one question – should we travel the world or buy a sailing boat. Even when I was asking this question, deep down I knew what we wanted to do… Needless to say the poll favourites a sailing boat 🙂

The Norway – Denmark sailing adventure – welcome to the blue sky of Hirtshals!

The blue sky over our heads was such a nice distraction compering to the grey sea, strong wind and battering rain. The sailing was fantastic, as we still have a lot of wind to carry us forward and the sea was slowly calming down. The crazy waves time was finally over and the mood on the boat was lifting. Nothing was safe from becoming wet inside and out. This is how important is to have good sailing cloths! My jacket from Decathlon will be replaced with something more professional soon. I am so happy that Christmas is coming and our families do not have to really think much about what to get me or Marcin! Off course, when our watch was done, the weather decided to change. Just our luck!

The Norway-Denmark sailing adventure – Kopervik.

As it can be expected the weather in Norway in September is unpredictable. When you are leaving a port with a plan to sail to your next destination, a lot can change within few moments. The plan was to leave Klokkarvik and sail to Tau, but the weather quickly changed our plans. We still have about 30 miles to Tau when the captain decided to stop at Kopervik. The storm was brewing…
